The Beekmantown Eagles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 48-39 victory over Plattsburgh. That's another feather in the cap for Beekmantown, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beekmantown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lindsay Barnes, who scored 15 points. It was the first time this season that Barnes scored 15 or more points. Payton Parliament was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.
Beekmantown pushed their record up to 7-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Plattsburgh, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beekmantown has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Plattsburgh will take on the Red Storm at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Saranac Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 441st, while the Hornets are ranked 192nd).
