Make it six blowout wins for the Penn Cambria Panthers this season. They breezed by Huntingdon at home to the tune of 80-50 on Friday. The win was just what Penn Cambria needed coming off of a 63-38 defeat in their prior matchup.
Penn Cambria was led to victory by Easton Semelsberger and Gavin Harrold. Semelsberger scored 16 points along with three steals, while Harrold scored 14 points along with six assists. Semelsberger has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter McDermott, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Penn Cambria has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Huntingdon, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penn Cambria won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Marauders at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd. One thing working in Bishop Guilfoyle's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matches. As for Huntingdon, they will head out on the road to take on the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Juniata Valley's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Bearcats have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
