North has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Hastings Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully North focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
North pushed their score all the way to 58, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-58 to Woodbury. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North in their matchups with Woodbury: they've now lost three in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brevin Conway, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Ramadan Hassan was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Two Rivers scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, Hastings still came out on top. Everything went Hastings' way against Two Rivers as Hastings made off with a 79-55 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Hastings has posted since December 2, 2023.
North has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Hastings, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.
North beat Hastings 70-59 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for North since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
