Maclay is 9-1 against Taylor County since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Marauders will host the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Maclay has eight straight wins, Taylor County has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Maclay had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Rockledge on Saturday. The Marauders were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Marauders, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ben Wagnon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Beau Beshears was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Tucker Poppell, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
North Florida Christian hit Taylor County with a six-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs lost 10-2 to the Eagles.
Taylor County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tallyn Harden, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Taylor County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Maclay, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.
Taylor County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Maclay hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .377. It's a different story for Taylor County, though, as they've only averaged .241. Will they be able to contain Maclay's hitters?
Maclay got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against Taylor County by a conclusive 19-0 score. Do the Marauders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
