With a playoff win on the line, Mize rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on Bay Springs with a sharp 14-0 victory. Considering Mize has won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Parker Himmel was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Graham Davis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Mize always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

Mize is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Bay Springs, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

As of now, neither Mize nor Bay Springs have any future games scheduled.
