After a string of six wins, the Brook Hill Guard's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 38-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of All Saints Episcopal. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brook Hill has scored all season.
Several Guard players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brenna Hill, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Onley, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, Brook Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Brook Hill's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for All Saints Episcopal, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brook Hill will take on Dallas Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Dallas Christian is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for All Saints Episcopal, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against McKinney Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m.
