The Bethel Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the New Fairfield Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Bethel has not done well against Notre Dame Catholic recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Bethel walked away with a 55-48 victory over Notre Dame Catholic. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bethel.
Meanwhile, New Fairfield can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Stratford 62-28 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory New Fairfield has posted since December 20, 2023.
Bethel's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for New Fairfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Bethel couldn't quite finish off New Fairfield in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 47-45. Can Bethel avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
