The Lake George Lakers were the 45-39 winner over the Galway Golden Eagles when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lake George lost to Galway at home by a decisive 44-28 margin on Monday. Lake George has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Lakers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emily Guidetti, who scored two points along with six rebounds.
Lake George bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.8 points per game. As for Galway, their victory bumped their record up to 1-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake George will be home for the holidays to greet Warrensburg at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Warrensburg is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. Galway will be home for the holidays to greet Northville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Galway in New York (Northville is ranked 65th, while Galway is ranked 375th).
