Baseball Recap: Nature Coast Tech Has No Trouble Against Fivay

There's no place like home for Nature Coast Tech, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 30-0 margin over the Fivay Falcons on Thursday. The game marked the Sharks' most dominant victory of the season so far.

BRYCE HEWELL was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. HEWELL was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

In other batting news, Nature Coast Tech got a massive performance out of CODY WRIGHT, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple was WRIGHT's first of the season. Another player making a difference was PAUL KYMER, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base.

Nature Coast Tech's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Fivay, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Looking ahead, Nature Coast Tech will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. As for Fivay, they are taking a road trip to take on Anclote at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fivay is facing Anclote at the right time seeing as Anclote is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
