Baseball Recap: Eastwood Gets the Win

While Eastwood's victory against Clyde wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Fliers 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Fliers: they've now won three in a row.

Kadyn Donnell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Cam Schumaker was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Luidhardt, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Eastwood's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Clyde, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Eastwood will challenge Perkins at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clyde, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Oak Harbor at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
