Kyla Long made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Natalie Murrell was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Sara Wilson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Eagleton College & Career Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pigeon Forge didn't got any hits.
Oliver Springs now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-10-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Oliver Springs has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .463. However, it's not like Eagleton College & Career Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .493. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
