The Northeast Dubois Jeeps can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They strolled past Wood Memorial with points to spare, taking the game 41-22. For Northeast Dubois, this counts as revenge for the 37-35 defeat Wood Memorial walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Leading Northeast Dubois to victory were Lyllee Schnell and Emmersen Kalb. Schnell scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds and 9 blocks, while Kalb scored 20 points along with 4 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Kalb has scored at least 25% of Northeast Dubois' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Cummins, who scored 7 points.
Northeast Dubois' victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Wood Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Northeast Dubois has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Washington Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on November 28th. Washington Catholic comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Wood Memorial, they will head out on the road to face off against Evansville Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Evansville Christian is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
