SAN DIEGO, Calif. -
Serra (San Diego, Calif.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat
San Diego (Calif.), 35-7, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, the Conquistadors led 28-0 at the half.
Serra expanded its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. SHS's lone score in the quarter came on a
Connor Michlanski touchdown run.
The Conquistadors' standout player in the win was
Brandon Archie. The sophomore running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.
The Cavers' lone touchdown came on an 8-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Coming into the game Serra had allowed 25.6 points per game this year.
With the win SHS extended its winning streak to four games.
In a City game next week Serra (6-2) takes on Morse, and San Diego (3-6) will go up against Patrick Henry also in a City game.
