Lytle had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They never let the Natalia Mustangs get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

The team relied heavily on Mason Hill, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three doubles, and one run. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Travis Norton, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Lytle was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .367 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Lytle's record now sits at 18-6-1. As for Natalia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lytle will welcome Cotulla at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cowboys have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.64 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Natalia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crystal City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
