Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, the Hunt Warriors couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They suffered a rough 44-22 defeat at the hands of Williams on Friday. Hunt has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Despite the loss, Hunt still got an impressive performance from Naseer Deberry, who rushed for 180 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.
Haneef Rasheed II was his usual excellent self, rushing for 153 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also picking up 67 receiving yards. Amarion Richmond also helped out as he racked up 110 rushing yards.
Hunt's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Williams, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
Hunt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Williams will head out on the road to face off against Seventy-First at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Seventy-First is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
