The Libby Loggers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 11th straight loss. They fell to Polson 35-30. Libby has struggled against Polson recently, as their game on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Polson to victory were Mckenna Hanson and Rylee Taylor-jefferson. Hanson scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two blocks, while Taylor-jefferson scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Libby's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.5 points per game. As for Polson, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Libby will take on Whitefish at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Libby has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Polson, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Columbia Falls at 6:00 p.m. Columbia Falls will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Polson surely won't give up without a fight.
