Big North - Freedom recap October 8, 2013
Hackensack took down Eastside 48-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Aaron Guzman ran for 176 yards and caught 1 pass for 38 yards in the win.
Passaic made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,391 from 12,291. The improvement was the result of a 34-14 victory over Fair Lawn last week.
The Indians' dynamic duo of Aaron Draughon and Traverus Moore proved to be unstoppable against the CUTTERS, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Draughon threw for 145 yards and 1 touchdown and Moore had 75 yards receiving. Saul Suero helped Passaic's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 51 yards.
Guzman provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Comets topped the Ghosts. Guzman's key target this week was Deandre Christmas, who caught 4 passes for 40 yards.
A big matchup in Big North - Freedom this week will be when Hackensack takes on Kennedy. As it stands, Benjie Wimberly's team is in second, while the Knights are in third.
