Reedy posted their biggest win since December 5, 2024 on Friday. Everything went their way against the Newman Smith Trojans as the Reedy Lions made off with a 45-22 victory. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Trojans are ranked 276th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win snapped Reedy's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 17-9 record. As for Newman Smith, they dropped their record down to 12-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
