Capuchino saw some tournament action on Friday. Everything went their way against the Inderkum Tigers as they made off with a 7-1 victory. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.
Lily Thomas made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Star Gutierrez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Setaita Mau, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Capuchino was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Inderkum only posted a batting average of .150.
