The Constitution Generals entered their tilt with the Mastery Charter North - Pickett Pumas with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Constitution blew past Mastery Charter North - Pickett 71-49. Given Constitution's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Mastery Charter North - Pickett is ranked 515th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Constitution's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyree Latimer, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Perry Fields was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Rahmere Boseman and Jacob Mitchell certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Boseman scored 15 points, while Mitchell scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boseman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Creary, who scored eight points.
Constitution's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. As for Mastery Charter North - Pickett, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Constitution will take on Overbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Omar Davis and Fields. As for Mastery Charter North - Pickett, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Science Leadership Academy at Beeber at 3:15 p.m.
