Van Buren won the last time they faced Hardin Northern, and Lily Grine did her part to make sure it happened again. The Black Knights were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Polar Bears on Monday for which the team can thank Grine, who had 14 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

While Van Buren might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Hardin Northern scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-22.

Van Buren's record now sits at 5-1. As for Hardin Northern, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Van Buren will challenge Leipsic at 5:30 p.m. on September 3. As for Hardin Northern, they will head out to square off against Calvary Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
