The Beloit Memorial Purple Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Burlington Demons at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Beloit Memorial and four for Burlington.
Beloit Memorial pushed their score all the way to 85 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 94-85 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brown Deer. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game two weeks ago (58), Beloit Memorial still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Burlington came up short against Racine Park on Tuesday and fell 51-43.
Beloit Memorial has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Burlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
Beloit Memorial came up short against Burlington when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 60-56. Can Beloit Memorial avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
