This season hasn't been kind to the Covenant Academy Patriots, who are still winless after their seventh game. They were outmatched by The Covenant Preparatory School at home and fell 59-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Covenant Academy has suffered against The Covenant Preparatory School since November 5, 2019.
The Covenant Preparatory School found their leader in underclassman Joshua Kennedy, who scored 22 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kennedy has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tye Leatherman, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Covenant Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for The Covenant Preparatory School, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Houston Adventist Academy the next time they take the court. Covenant Academy will head out to face Houston Adventist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while The Covenant Preparatory School will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
