The Fulton Pirates will take on the Boyne City Ramblers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Fulton proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Breckenridge, sneaking past 2-1. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

 Carson Litwiller
Carson Litwiller spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Fulton's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).
On the hitting side, Fulton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Duflo, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Gibby Jason also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boyne City). They put the hurt on Grayling with a sharp 19-6 win on Thursday. With that victory, the Ramblers brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Jack Paquette made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.4 strikeouts per game. He was also big at the plate, earning two runs and two stolen bases.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryder Peck, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with five stolen bases and five runs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.6 stolen bases per game. Braydon Joyce was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
Boyne City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
The win got Fulton back to even at 4-4. As for Boyne City, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2-1.
