Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The Tuscola Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine took a serious blow against Tecumseh, falling 41-6.
Tuscola fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 38-22 victory over Warrensburg-Latham on Saturday.
Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine's defeat was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-8 Tecumseh and 1-7 Lewistown/Cuba/Spoon River Valley (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 43.3% over those games). Tuscola has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.
