The West Forsyth Titans were the 47-33 winner over the East Forsyth Eagles when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. West Forsyth fell to East Forsyth 30-26. It was the first time this season that West Forsyth let down their fans at home.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Staples, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Campbell McClain, who scored five points along with 12 rebounds.
West Forsyth's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for East Forsyth, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.
West Forsyth will face off against Mount Tabor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mount Tabor presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Forsyth in North Carolina (Mount Tabor is ranked 65th, while West Forsyth is ranked 242nd). As for East Forsyth, they will be playing at home against Reagan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Reagan is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
