After a string of seven wins, the Tahlequah Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a hard 48-34 fall against Lincoln Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tahlequah has scored all season.
Lincoln Christian was led to victory by Kayli Atkinson and Maddi Stewart. Atkinson scored 18 points, while Stewart scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Stewart also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Hallie Kitchen was another key contributor, scoring three points along with six rebounds.
Tahlequah's defeat dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Lincoln Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Tahlequah will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Riverside Indian on Thursday. Lincoln Christian will finish 2023 at home by hosting Sapulpa on Thursday. Hopefully Sapulpa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday.
