The Hart Longhorns lost against the Bovina Mustangs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hart took a 42-27 bruising from Bovina. Hart has not had much luck with Bovina recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Leading Bovina to victory were Miguel Lopez and Gabriel Nieto. Lopez scored 11 points, while Nieto scored 14 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Lopez has scored at least 25% of Bovina's points. Another player making a difference was Michael Nieto, who scored 5 points.
Hart has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Bovina, their win bumped their record up to 1-9.
Hart will head out on the road to face off against Lazbuddie at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Bovina is on the road again on Saturday and play against Springlake-Earth at 1:30 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Springlake-Earth focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Thursday.
