It's playoff time, and Calvert had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Central Christian Comets get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Senecas, who have now won 21 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Charlie Palm and Connor Moyer did most of the damage at the plate: Palm went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Moyer got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Palm is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. AJ Shoemaker was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Calvert pushed their record up to 27-2-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Central Christian, they moved to 15-11 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Calvert nor the Comets have any future games scheduled.
