The Bunnell Bulldogs's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They really took it to New Milford for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-42 victory on the road. That 36 point margin sets a new team best for Bunnell this season.
New Milford lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ryder Gee, who scored eight points. Gee is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Cole Jennings, who scored six points.
Bunnell's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for New Milford, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bunnell won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Immaculate will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 18th). As for New Milford, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Notre Dame Catholic is coming into the match hot, having won their last 11 games.
