Noah Coffman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Indian Hill got a massive performance out of Devlan Daniel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Ben Sichel, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Indian Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .649. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shroder Paideia Academy only posted an OBP of .118.
Meanwhile, New Richmond unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against Lynchburg-Clay, falling 9-1.
New Richmond saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter McCurdy, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.
Indian Hill's win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for New Richmond, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15.
Indian Hill came out on top in a nail-biter against New Richmond in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
