Mitchell fell to Coronado 50-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Cougars led 3A South Central in scoring this week by notching 50 points on the Marauders. Isaah Duvall ran for 132 yards in the win.
Discovery Canyon's dynamic duo of Alec Wirtjes and Michael Beiswenger proved to be unstoppable against Lewis-Palmer, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wirtjes threw for 113 yards and Beiswenger had 42 yards receiving. Scott Betzer helped Discovery Canyon's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 28 yards.
Zeb Foster made the biggest impact on defense this week as Coronado beat Mitchell. The 5-foot-11 junior recorded 1 fumble.
Coronado's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Joah Smith has thrown for 768 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Sam Smith has 19 catches for 308 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Bobby Lizarraga's team takes on the Rangers. The Cougars are currently in first, while Lewis-Palmer is in fourth.
Woodland Park made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,095 from 9,616. The advance stemmed from a 34-0 victory over The Academy last week.
