Bordentown has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Monday. They will face off against the Medford Tech Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Bordentown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought game, but Bordentown had to settle for a 57-54 loss against Burlington Township. Bordentown has not had much luck with Burlington Township recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite their defeat, Bordentown saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ari Miller, who scored 11 points along with four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Andrew DeCosta was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Burlington Township scored an imposing 59 points on Thursday, Medford Tech still came out on top. Medford Tech slipped by Burlington Township 60-59.
Tre Powell was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Nesta Rice, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Bordentown's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Medford Tech, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.
Bordentown took a serious blow against Medford Tech in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 81-53. Can Bordentown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
