The Wilton Warriors will be playing at home against the St. Joseph Cadets at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
You can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Wilton's strategy against Bridgeport Central on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Wilton blew Bridgeport Central out of the water with a 63-32 final score. Given Wilton's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Bridgeport Central is ranked 133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wilton's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ryan Luchetta, who scored 14 points, and Henry Roy, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Charlie Roy, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph beat Westhill 67-55 on Tuesday. The win was just what St. Joseph needed coming off of a 88-62 loss in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Tj Wright, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of St. Joseph's points. Jayden Febus was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Wilton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. As for St. Joseph, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 9-6.
