Given Lake Linden-Hubbell's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Chassell is ranked 327th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, sadly, L'Anse is still looking for their first win of the season after 16 matches. They took a serious blow against Dollar Bay on Friday, falling 81-41. L'Anse has struggled against Dollar Bay recently, as their matchup on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Lake Linden-Hubbell is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for L'Anse, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.
Everything came up roses for Lake Linden-Hubbell against L'Anse in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 72-41 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Linden-Hubbell since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
