Nokomis was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight  defeat. They came up short against  the Cony Rams, falling  3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  two weeks ago.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15,  25-17.
 Beth Parker paced Nokomis' offense, picking up seven kills. Parker got some help from  Rayonna White and her eight assists.  Maddie Ervin controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Nokomis' loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Cony, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record  this season.
 Nokomis will challenge Maranacook at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Cony, they will look to defend their home court  on Thursday against Gardiner  at 5:30  p.m.
