The Beatrice Orangemen entered their tilt with the Crete Cardinals with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Beatrice took down Crete 62-47 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Beatrice also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Crete lost, one person who can't be blamed is Amelia Hohlen. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. Sierra Crist was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 4 steals.
Beatrice's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Crete, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Beatrice will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Aurora at 2:30 p.m. As for Crete, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwest at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Northwest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Saturday.
