The East Hamilton Hurricanes won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They were outmatched by Cleveland on the road and fell 77-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for East Hamilton in their matchups with the Blue Raiders: they've now lost four in a row.
Lauren Hurst was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Cleveland. Hurst is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Tamiah Tanner, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
East Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Cleveland, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
East Hamilton will head out on the road to take on the Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cleveland, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. Bradley Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Blue Raiders in Tennessee (the Bears are ranked first, while the Blue Raiders are ranked 28th).
