After two games on the road, NorthPoint Christian Academy is heading back home. They will take on Providence Classical at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, NorthPoint Christian Academy was beaten by Valor Preparatory Academy 89-47. NorthPoint Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-25.
Meanwhile, Providence Classical struggled with assists on Friday (Lee Park Prep had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Providence Classical fell to Lee Park Prep 46-41. Providence Classical has not had much luck with Lee Park Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite their loss, Providence Classical saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Xan Rahalawicz, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and six steals, was perhaps the best of all. Rahalawicz hasn't dropped below two steals for 21 straight games. Another player making a difference was Collin Davis, who scored 16 points.
NorthPoint Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Providence Classical, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-9.
NorthPoint Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Providence Classical in their previous meeting last Thursday, but they still walked away with a 58-53 win. Will NorthPoint Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Providence Classical have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
