The Minerva Lions will head out to  face off against the Salem Quakers  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
On Thursday, Minerva didn't have quite enough to beat West Branch and fell  4-3. The Lions have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.
  Sierra Cress was cooking despite her team's loss,   getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  home run.  Delaney Sell also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Salem). Everything went their way against Struthers on Monday as they made off with  a  22-3 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  win of the  season.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Salem and  bumps their season record up to 8-10-1. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 18.5 runs over those games. As for Minerva, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.
 Minerva couldn't quite get it done against Salem in their previous matchup  on April 10th as they fell  7-3. Can the Lions avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
