Academy of Richmond County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Alleluia Community Angels with a sharp 3-0 win. The Musketeers have beaten the Angels the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Angels has come to flipping the script.

Academy of Richmond County was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-17, 25-20.

Alleluia Community's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Academy of Richmond County will take on Grovetown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alleluia Community, they will venture away from home to take on Harlem at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Angels are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
