The Schley County Wildcats put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. Everything went their way against Manchester as Schley County made off with a 27-7 win. The result was nothing new for Schley County, who have now won seven contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Jay Kanazawa, who threw for 263 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jalewis Solomon was another key contributor, picking up 110 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Schley County's victory was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39 points. As for Manchester, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schley County will face off against Marion County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Marion County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 351st, while Schley County is ranked 59th). Manchester will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Taylor County at 7:30 p.m. on November 2nd.
