 In other batting news,  Austin Solis was a standout: he scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.  Daisen Stowe was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Hobart's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mangum, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hobart will  face off against Sayre at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Mangum, they are on the road again  on Tuesday to play Merritt at 4:30  p.m. Mangum is facing Merritt at the right time seeing as Merritt is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
