The Calvin Christian Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory  and fell  40-39 to Orange Glen. Calvin Christian has struggled against Orange Glen recently, as their  contest on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 Despite the  defeat, Calvin Christian saw an underclassman step up:  Caleb Lapka  dropped  a double-double on 23 points and ten  rebounds.  Garrett Becker was another key contributor,  scoring five points.
 Calvin Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Orange Glen, their victory  ended a 23-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-19.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvin Christian will take on San Jacinto at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Orange Glen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Army-Navy at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Army-Navy and Orange Glen are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
