Grand Valley hasn't had much luck against Pymatuning Valley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will host the Lakers at 4:30 p.m. Grand Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Things were looking good for Grand Valley after they put the first run on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Badger. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Breanna Rowland made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jenna Poyer, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, while Pymatuning Valley put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Harding. The Lakers were the clear victors by a 25-0 margin over the Skippers. The result was nothing new for the Lakers, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Mackenzie Kribbs was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Pymatuning Valley got a massive performance out of McKenna Jordan, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Jordan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aislyn Fuller, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and three RBI.
