The Lompoc Braves suffered their biggest loss since December 28, 2023 on Friday. They suffered a tough 74-54 loss at the hands of Templeton. If Lompoc hoped to take revenge for the 79-51 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Templeton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trevon Carter givens, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Carter givens has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryan Mcnamee, who scored 15 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Lompoc has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Templeton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-6.
Lompoc will be playing in front of their home fans against Righetti at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Templeton will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Mira Monte at 6:30 p.m. on January 29th. One thing working in Mira Monte's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
