The Hendrickson Hawks will venture away from home to challenge the Weiss Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Hendrickson is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering McCallum just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 15-1 to the Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hawks have suffered since February 20th.
AJ Fowler made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Meanwhile, Weiss waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 13-2 victory. Considering the Wolves have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Landon Teller was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other pitching news, Thomas Botkin tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Torri Limon and Amari Maxwell did most of the damage at the plate: Limon went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Maxwell went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two stolen bases gave Limon a new career-high. Sam Khabbaz also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Weiss was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Hendrickson's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7-2. As for Weiss, their record now sits at 16-3-1.
Hendrickson skirted past Weiss 4-3 in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
