Richards unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 41-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Round Top-Carmine.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Oakwood's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a hard 48-31 fall against Avalon. Oakwood has struggled against Avalon recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Jacee Youngblood, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. The game was her fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Richards' defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-1. Oakwood's record now sits at 5-5.
