On Tuesday, things could have been worse for Dayspring Christian Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-45 loss to Halifax. While losing is never fun, Dayspring Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 658th, while Halifax is ranked 310th).
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Huxta, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Miracle Johnsons, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Dayspring Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Halifax, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-2.
Dayspring Christian Academy will play host again and welcome Lititz Christian, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Lititz Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Monday. As for Halifax, they will head out on the road to face off against Midd-West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Halifax is coming into the matchup with eight straight victories on the road, meaning Midd-West will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
