Piggott couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 16-37 punch to the gut against Westside on Friday. The state rankings had actually given Piggott a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
The loss dropped Piggott back to even at 0-0. The win bumped Westside's record up to 0-1.
Piggott are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Brookland next week at 7:00 PM. Westside will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Hoxie at 7:00 PM.
